As a personal trainer and nutrition specialist I try to eat healthy most of the time. I'm successful about 75% to 90% of the the time. You know what makes it tough? 

My sweet tooth.

I could avoid all the savoury things in the world. All the fried foods don't tempt me. I enjoy all of these of course but the real thing that I struggle to satisfy? It's my sweet cravings!

Now there's nothing wrong with occasionally having some sweet things - they make life good right??? BUT other times you just want to satisfy the craving without the unhealthy goods. That's where this Chocolate and Passionfruit Nice cream recipe comes into play for you!

I've experimented with so many different nice cream recipes in order to come up with this one which strikes the perfect balance of creamy, smooth and tasty without too much banana taste.

This healthy ice cream recipe (or nice cream) has just 5 ingredients and tastes delicious. You can prepare it and eat it immediately or save it for those hot days when you really need something sweet to satisfy the tastebuds! 

This is a five ingredient recipe AND 5 minute or less healthy recipe!

Makes: 1 serving
Prep Time: Freezing time then + 15 minutes to thaw
Total Time to Make: 5 minutes

Healthy Ice Cream | Chocolate and Passionfruit Nice Cream

Chocolate & Passionfruit Nice Cream Ingredients 

  • 1 banana chopped bite sized and frozen 
  • 1 passionfruit, pulp scooped out
  • 3 tsp cacao powder
  • 1 - 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp tahini

    Fit Foodie Extras & Equipment

    • Food processor
    • Add a pinch of salt (optional)

      Nice Cream Recipe Steps

      1. Leave the banana to thaw for at least 10 minutes or until not rock hard. This is an important step to not break your food processor
      2. Combine all ingredients in food processor, EXCEPT for passionfruit pulp. Blend until creamy (not liquid.) Adjust taste as needed. 
      3. Enjoy it immediately or put back in freezer to get firmer if you like. Top passionfruit pulp over it when ready to eat.
