All you need are lusciously ripe avocados, grapefruits and a hint of basil to make this special "salad."Use it as a daytime snack or lunch time side. As one of my 5 ingredients or less recipes, it's super simple!
The best part about this grapefruit and avocado salad recipe is that you get some mega nutrients - think fiber, healthy fats, carbs for energy and a hint of protein from the avocado. Together, this nutrient combo will keep you going and fuller for longer.
I'm also including here a fit foodie extra of some homemade Maple & Mustard Dressing to add a kick to this healthy salad!
Makes: 10 to 12 depending on fruit size
Total Time: 5 minutes
First, stack grapefruit and avocado on a plate. Next, sprinkle with basil leaves. You are good to go with just these steps or you can go on to make your homemade maple and mustard dressing next.
For the maple and mustard dressing, combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Ideally use a wooden or plastic (not metal) fork/whisk to mix. Then pour over your grapefruit and avocado salad. Aproveite!
